What is a coaster pager?

A coaster pager, also known as a restaurant pager or a guest pager, is a small wireless device used in restaurants, bars, and other hospitality businesses to notify customers when their table or order is ready.

When customers arrive at a restaurant or bar and there is a wait for a table, they may be given a coaster pager to hold onto while they wait. When their table is ready, the staff can remotely activate the pager, which will then vibrate, beep, or flash to alert the customer that they can return to the host stand to be seated.

Coaster pagers can also be used to notify customers when their food or drinks are ready for pickup at a counter or bar. This system allows customers to move around the restaurant or bar freely while they wait, rather than having to wait in a specific area or line.
